U.S. Rep. Dave Loebsack, D- Iowa, and his Republican challenger John Archer will be among candidates for several races in the Iowa Quad-City area who will take part in a forum tonight at St. Ambrose University.

Loebsack and Archer are vying for Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District, which includes the Quad-City area.

The forum is scheduled for 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Rogalski Center on the St. Ambrose campus, 518 W. Locust St., Davenport. The event is sponsored by the Greater Quad-Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, St. Ambrose and Scott Community College.

Besides the congressional candidates, these candidates have confirmed their participation:

State Senate District 46: Sen. Shawn Hamerlinck, Republican, and Chris Brase, Democrat.

State House District 89: Rep. Jim Lykam, Democrat, and Bill Edmond, Republican.

State House District 90: Rep. Cindy Winckler, Democrat, and Mike J. Riley, nominated by petition.

State House District 92: Rep. Ross C. Paustian, Republican, and Frank B. Wood, Democrat.

State House District 93: Rep. Phyllis Thede, Democrat, and Mark Nelson, Republican.

State House District 94: Rep. Linda Miller, Republican, and Maria Bribriesco, Democrat.

State Representative District 97: Rep. Steven Olson, Republican, and Ted Whisler, Democrat.

In addition, other county candidates also will be present.

The event will feature an on-site voter registration table, coordinated by Davenport’s League of United Latin American Citizens Council No. 10.
