Candidates for state representative in Iowa House Districts 93 and 94 will participate in a public forum at 7 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Bettendorf Public Library, 2960 Learning Campus Drive.

Both districts include areas in eastern Davenport and Bettendorf.

Democrat Maria Bribriesco and incumbent Republican Linda Miller in District 94, and Republican Mark Nelson and incumbent Democrat Phyllis Thede in District 93 will participate in the forum.

Mark Ridolfi, editorial page editor for the Quad-City Times, will be moderator for the forum.

Discussion topics include efforts to reform Iowa’s mental-health system, public education system and property tax laws.

Candidates also will be available to speak with the audience before and after the forum, sponsored by the Iowa Quad-City Rotary Club.
