Casa Quad-Cities receives outreach funds: Casa Quad-Cities was awarded funding from the New Americans Initiative, a nonprofit partnership between the state of Illinois and the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights, to help immigrants through the process of becoming U.S. citizens.

The funding will allow Casa to expand its recently awarded Board of Immigration Appeals Accredited Immigration Services Division. The new funds will allow the agency to provide processing and outreach services for both naturalization and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals-eligible members of the community.

In addition, citizenship and non-traditional English classes will be offered by a team of AmeriCorps Vista members and community volunteers. For more information, call 309-736-7727.
