Mercer County Sheriff’s deputies broke up an underage drinking party over the weekend, the second one in five days.

Officers received an anonymous tip over the weekend regarding a gathering at 1375 Knoxville Road in Sherrard. As a result, 13 minors were issued county ordinance citations for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. Six people older than 21 were present at the party and received citations for unlawful delivery of alcohol to a minor.

The host of the Friday night party, 20-year-old Tyler Koehler, was cited for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The minors ranged in age from 16 to 20.

On New Year’s Eve, Mercer Sheriff’s deputies busted an underage drinking party in Joy resulting in 30 county ordinance citations for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Hey, Senator, maybe you stopped me from drinking myself to death. I'll bet you'll wish you hadn't by the time I'm done telling you off. If you enjoy that warm feeling you get from protecting me from getting a hangover, don't forget that you can get a warmer feeling by pouring gasoline all over yourself and lighting a match, and the human race will be better off without you voting away the precious freedoms of innocent persons.

The outvoted discrimination victims never consented to be bound by state regulations in the first place. They are not violating anybody's rights by enjoying the beverage of their choice, a right of inestimable value to them and formidable to tyrants only; an inherent natural right which no government can justly infringe.

What are they supposed to do, build a time machine so they can obey a law against being under 21? Clone themselves so on election day, they can outnumber the bigots who hate them? Rest assured that they can figure out why so many politicians would rather impose second-class citizenship on Mr. and Mrs. Twenty than impose tougher DWI laws on themselves; and why the cops are on liquor patrol to arrest people under 21 and not on DWI patrol where they would arrest each other.

Never underestimate the hostility you breed by hiring gun-toting goons in bulletproof vests as weapons of unprovoked violence, to intimidate citizens into living a healthy lifestyle against their will.
