This afternoon will be mostly cloudy with a high near 37 degrees. West winds will be 10-15 mph with gusts as high as 25 degrees.

Tonight will be partly cloudy with a low around 17 degrees. Northwest winds will be 5-10 mph. Areas of patchy freezing drizzle may develop mainly over northeastern Iowa. Freezing drizzle may cause a few icy spots on roadways, bridges, overpasses and sidewalks.

Thursday will be mostly sunny with a high near 32 degrees and a low around 20 degrees.

A strong arctic cold front could sweep across the area Sunday night. Wind chill readings may drop to near 20 below or possibly colder by Monday morning.
