Top of the morning to all in the Quad-Cities. You’re waking up to 8 degrees (-9 with the wind chill) and fair skies. Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

For those fortunate enough to have the day off, roll over and grab another couple of hours of snooze time. For those who have to venture out this morning, bundle up — it’s cold outside.

The National Weather Service says it will be breezy and cold with a steady temperature around 6 degrees with wind chill values as low as -20 degrees. A northwest wind will gust as high as 30 mph. A wind chill advisory is in effect until early afternoon.

Tonight will be mostly clear with a low around 0. Wind chill values will dip as low as -15.

Tuesday the cold continues with mostly sunny skies and a high near 13 degrees. Wind chill values will be as low as -10 degrees. Tuesday night will bring scattered flurries and a low around 8 degrees.
