MAQUOKETA, Iowa — Curt Coleman, Jackson County Regional Health Center administrator, has been named administrator for Genesis Medical Center in DeWitt.

Coleman will remain administrator at the Maquoketa hospital.

Coleman has been supervising both hospitals since July 1.

“When we named Curt Coleman interim administrator for the DeWitt hospital last summer, it was our intention at that time to launch a search and recruit a new permanent director,” Florence Spyrow, Genesis Health System senior vice president, said. “However, during his tenure leading both Jackson County Regional Health Center and Genesis Medical Center, DeWitt, Curt has demonstrated not only the efficiencies, but the very real advantages in shared leadership among our critical access hospitals.”

Coleman has been at the Maquoketa hospital since 1999. Previously, he was vice president of professional and support services for Spencer Hospital, Spencer, Iowa.

Jackson County Regional Health Center has a management agreement with Genesis Health System in Davenport.

Wonder just how much he is being paid? Don't you think the taxpayers should know? Especially when a big chunk of the money is direct taxing from the hospitals.
