Black Hawk College and the Illinois Quarter Horse Youth Association will put on “A Day at Horse College” from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 6 at the East Campus, 26230 Black Hawk Road, Galva, Ill. The event is free for all ages who are interested in learning more about horses. The day will involve lectures, presentations and hands-on demonstrations. Bring a cowboy hat for a free hat shaping from 11 a.m. to noon and 1-2 p.m. Door prizes and lunch stand available.
