Community Health Care Inc. will open its new East Moline medical clinic at 8 a.m. Monday after a year of construction.

The $2 million clinic located downtown at 708 15th Ave. is 8,000 square feet in size and includes

12 exam rooms. Additional space is available for offices, a laboratory, nursing station and administrative areas.

The clinic will be open

8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Community Health Care accepts Medicaid, Medicare and most private insurance carriers. For an appointment, call 563-336-3000.

The project was made possible as a result of federal funding awarded to the organization in 2010 as part of the Affordable Care Act. The organization is one of the area’s largest providers of primary health care. It is headquartered in Davenport, and new clinics have been built in Moline and Rock Island, in addition to East Moline. A clinic also is planned in Clinton.

Community Health Care was founded in 1975 and now has six clinic locations across the Quad-City area, including a homeless outreach clinic. Information is available online at davchc.com.
