Evening prayer at The Canticle, 843 13th Ave. N., Clinton, will be open to the public during the Advent season. On each of the Sundays of Advent (Dec. 2, 9, 16 and 23) beginning at 6 p.m., the Sisters of St. Francis will welcome friends and neighbors to join the traditional preparation for the Christmas season.

The reflections will center on the theme of spiritual motherhood as described by St. Bonaventure, renowned scholar and follower of Francis of Assisi, in his classic work, “Bringing Forth Christ: Five Feasts of the Child Jesus.”

Advent Vespers consist of scripture readings, song, reflection and praying together. For more information, call 563-242-7611 or visit www.clintonfranciscans.com.
