A 33-year-old Rock Island woman is the latest person charged in an ongoing child abuse investigation involving a Davenport mobile home park.

Andrea Lynn Rodden, 933 35th Ave., was arrested Thursday and charged with child endangerment with bodily injury, a Class D felony, for allowing a minor child to spend the night with a known registered sex offender living at the Patriot Mobile Home Park, 4847 W. Kimberly Road.

The felony count stems from the minor having also been sexually molested by the offender.

Rodden is accused of allowing the child to stay with James "Jim" Everett Faler on Oct. 30, 2011.

"At that time, Faler is accused of sexually abusing the minor while in his custody, staying overnight at his residence," Scott County Sheriff's Lt. Bryce Schmidt said. "Rodden knew that James Faler was a convicted sex offender."

The minor child was sexually abused by the sex offender while spending the night at Lot 19, and the sex offender documented the abuse by taking a picture at 2:31 a.m. on Oct. 30, 2011, according to Rodden's arrest affidavit.

The Rock Island address listed for Rodden was the last address police had for her. Schmidt said police discovered she also has been living in the Phoenix area, and police there assisted in taking her into custody on a warrant for the pending charge a few weeks ago.

She was transported to Scott County this week. Her arrest comes eight months after local law enforcement officials swarmed the Patriot Mobile Home Park and took multiple women into custody.

A total of six women have been arrested on child endangerment charges. In addition to Faler, police also have charged two other registered sex offenders who lived at the trailer park.

Melvin "Tom" Thomas Lucier, 54, and Thomas E. Jenkins, 24, are charged with second-degree sexual abuse, a Class B felony. Faler, 48, is charged in federal court with five counts of producing child pornography.

Police suspect there were as many as nine minor victims. In four of the cases, the children were sexually assaulted.

At the time of the sweep, at least 11 registered sex offenders listed the Patriot Mobile Home Park as their residence. More recently seven list the trailer park as their residence.
