A Davenport police investigation into a June stabbing resulted in an Arkansas man’s arrest this week.
Jarvis Orlando Moore, 26, of Earle, Ark., was in the Scott County Jail Friday on a felony and misdemeanor assault charges.
The stabbing occurred in an alley in the 2900 block of Dubuque Street just after 1 a.m. June 24.
Officers found Kele Jones, the victim, bleeding from two deep stab wounds to his lower left rib cage area. He was transported to Genesis Medical Center, East Rusholme Street, Davenport, where he underwent surgery for injuries that hospital staff described as life-threatening, Moore’s arrest affidavit states.
Jones’ spleen had to be removed, and he spent days in the intensive care unit recovering, the affidavit states.
Jones later picked Moore out of a photo lineup, and a witness also told police Moore was the one who stabbed Jones, the affidavit states.

A warrant for Moore’s arrest was issued July 31. He was arrested Tuesday and he is scheduled to be arraigned Oct. 25.
He’s charged with assault while displaying a weapon and willful injury, both felonies, as well as misdemeanor charges including two counts of assault on a police officer, domestic abuse resulting in bodily injury, harassment of public officers and interference with official acts causing injury.
