A home was damaged by gunfire early Wednesday in the 600 block of West 13th Street, according to the Davenport Police Department.

Officers were patrolling the area at 2:37 a.m. when they heard gunshots and received calls.

Officers located shell casings and found a house that had been damaged. They also checked on the residents and canvased the neighborhood.

There were no reported injuries or other damage reported. Detectives are following up on the incident.

It's the second report of gunfire in Davenport in less than a day. Around 6:17 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to the 1500 block of Esplanade Avenue for a report of shots fired.
