A Davenport man faces numerous charges in connection with a string of burglaries and thefts dating back to August.
Dakota Blazen Winters, 18, was booked into the Scott County Jail Friday and charged with six counts of third-degree burglary; one count of second-degree theft; two counts of fourth-degree theft; one count of third-degree theft; one count of second-degree criminal mischief; one count of third-degree criminal mischief; and three counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief.
Bond was set Saturday at $10,000 cash-only. A preliminary hearing is scheduled March 14.
According to multiple arrest affidavits filed in Scott County District Court, police linked Winters to burglaries and thefts between August and February. Some of the burglaries and thefts occurred at Red Hawk Golf Course, 6364 Northwest Blvd.; Wallace’s Garden Center, 6227 Northwest Blvd.; a motel on Brady Street; Slagle’s, 6723 Northwest Blvd.; Home Hardware, 1716 W. 37th St.; and Village Inn, 1919 N. Harrison St.
Some items taken from businesses were recovered from Winters’ home, according to the affidavits.
