A murder suspect caught last week in Indiana is in the Scott County Jail this morning.
Darius D. Johnson, 21, of Chicago, was taken into custody March 13 on charges connected to the Dec. 6 shooting death of 41-year-old Robby Ray Kohn of Davenport.
Johnson and two others, Barry Hamilton, 20, originally of Chicago, and Jessica Loerzel, 20, of Davenport are each charged with one count of first-degree murder and willful injury causing serious injury.
First-degree murder carries a mandatory sentence of life in prison under Iowa law.
Kohn’s body was discovered at 1:31 a.m. Dec. 8 in a farm field just east of Utah Avenue and south of Telegraph Road when a man eluding police accidentally ran over the body.
Johnson had his initial appearance in Scott County District Court, Davenport, Tuesday.
