A 17-year-old will be sentenced Aug. 25 for four armed robberies he committed in Bettendorf and Davenport earlier this year.
Davionta Isiah Duax of Davenport pleaded guilty in Scott County District Court to four counts of first-degree robbery, a Class B felony each punishable by up to 25 years in prison.
Although he is charged as an adult, Duax will not be required to serve the mandatory minimum of 17½ years in prison before parole can be granted.
Scott County prosecutors wrote in the plea agreement filed Wednesday that they will not oppose the sentences running concurrently, or at the same time.
Duax also pay restitution $1,865.
Police say Duax, while armed with a knife, robbed Express Lane, 1909 Harrison St., Davenport, on Jan. 23 and Feb. 6; Ann's Hallmark Shop, 886 Middle Road, Bettendorf, on Feb. 2; and Little Caesars Pizza, 2900 E. 53rd St., Davenport, on Feb. 8.
He was arrested in February.
