A Davenport woman pleaded guilty Monday in connection with a bank robbery in August.
Tosha Marie Aurthur, 38, faces up to 20 years in prison when she is sentenced Aug. 23 in U.S. District Court, Davenport.
Davenport police were called just after 9 a.m. Aug. 1 to Northwest Bank & Trust, 1454 Locust St.
According to police, Aurthur went into the bank and demanded money from an employee.
She put her hand underneath her shirt to insinuate that she had a weapon, which caused the employee to fear for her safety, according to police. No injuries were reported.
The federal indictment states Aurthur took $373 from the bank.
Aurthur initially was charged in Scott County District Court with third-degree robbery and third-degree theft. The charges were dismissed in October when the federal indictment was handed up.
