A man who is accused of robbing two Davenport credit unions now faces federal charges.
Duane Maulding, 51, is charged with two counts of bank robbery. His arraignment is scheduled for Wednesday in U.S. District Court, Davenport.
Maulding is accused of robbing the Ascentra Credit Union, 1515 W. 53rd St., on July 2 and the DuTrac Credit Union, 3100 W. Kimberly Road, on Aug. 9.
He's accused of stealing $3,390 from Ascentra and $1,218 from DuTrac, according to a grand jury indictment filed last week.
He was arrested Aug. 9 after crossing the Centennial Bridge into Rock Island.
Evidence linking to Maulding to at least one of the crimes was located during a search of his residence, according to Davenport police.
The Davenport Police Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation interviewed Maulding.
