A missing LeClaire teen has been found unharmed in Illinois.
LeClaire Police Chief Shane Themas said that Payton Hintermeister, 13, was found by East Peoria, Illinois, police.
Payton was unharmed and police in East Peoria were awaiting his parents' arrival late Wednesday.
The LeClaire Fire Department, Scott County Sheriff’s Department, Scott County Reserves, Scott County and Davenport Police K-9 units, Scott County Emergency Management along with Volunteers in Police Service and the Mobile Command Center aided in the search for the teen.
LeClaire police are asking the public’s help in locating a missing teen.
According to a news release issued late Wednesday by LeClaire Police Chief Shane Themas, police are looking for 13-year-old Payton Hintermeister.
Payton is described as being 5-feet 9 inches tall and weighing 145 pounds. He has dark hair, brown or hazel eyes and is wearing a black sweatshirt, gray pants and black shoes.
Payton was last seen Wednesday.
“We are concerned for the well-being of this teenager,” Themas said.
