An 18-year-old Moline man pleaded guilty Wednesday in Scott County District Court, Davenport, to one count of lascivious acts with a child.

Bryce A. Moreno faces up to five years in prison for the Class D felony. He also faces the possibility of registering as an Iowa sex offender, Assistant Scott County Attorney Will Ripley said in court.

Moreno admitted in court to “smacking” the 13-year-old victim, who was identified only by initials for the purpose of sexual satisfaction. The act occurred at least once in July 2011, when Moreno was 17 years old.

His attorney, Eric Puryear, said the incident occurred in Scott County. Moreno was arrested by Davenport police on Oct. 3, 2011.

His sentencing is set for 10 a.m. Oct. 4.
