Moline police are investigating the death of 39-year-old Michelle Woods as a homicide, police said Friday.

She was found dead Wednesday in her home at 250 53rd St.

An autopsy Friday determined the preliminary cause of death was because of traumatic head and neck injuries, Rock Island County Coroner Brian Gustafson said.

As of late Friday, no one had been arrested in connection with the death. Police also released no information about persons of interest or possible suspects.

Anyone who was in the area at the time of Woods' death and might have seen anything suspicious should call the Moline Police Department at 309-797-0401 or Crime Stoppers of the Quad-Cities at 309-762-9500.
