Moline police are seeking the public's help in solving a cold case.

The case involves Jerry Wolking who was last seen leaving the residence of a female acquaintance 26 years ago today. Jerry was never seen or heard from after that. His vehicle was located a few days later at the Quad-City Airport and evidence was recovered from the vehicle.

Significant progress has been made on the case over the last few years with biological and fingerprint evidence recovered and examined. The Moline Police Department also has conducted forensic geological testing on evidence recovered from Wolking’s vehicle in partnership with Augustana College, Dr. Mike Wolf and then-student Grant Wick, according to a post on the Moline Police Department's Facebook page.

Several witnesses and those with information regarding the Wolking disappearance have come forward which have been significant in piecing this puzzle together, the post continues.

Police are still missing the last few pieces and ask that anyone with information to come forward and give the Wolking family closure.
