A Davenport man was arrested Wednesday after police say he dressed as a woman and robbed a Davenport motel at gunpoint in November.
Kendrick Divon Rudd, 37, no address given, was booked into the Scott County Jail at 3:46 p.m. Wednesday on one count of first-degree robbery, a Class B felony punishable by up to 25 years in prison.
Bond was set Thursday at $25,000 cash-only. He has a preliminary hearing Feb. 2.
At 9:33 p.m. Nov. 8, Davenport police were dispatched to the Super 8 Motel, 301 Jason Way, for a report of an armed robbery.
Police said in an arrest affidavit filed in support of the criminal complaint that Rudd, dressed as a woman and carrying a baby carrier, entered the motel and presented a long gun from under a blanket covering the baby carrier and demanded money.
He obtained a bank bag with money from the office behind the front counter and fled on foot, according to the affidavit.
