A Long Grove man made his second trip to the Scott County Jail this week on Tuesday, when he was arrested after police seized a dozen marijuana plants from his home.

Lawrence H. Cross III, 46, 31075 210th Ave., was booked into the Scott County Jail at 10:25 p.m. Tuesday and was released the next day after posting bond.

He’s charged with several felonies, including manufacturing marijuana, possession with intent to deliver marijuana and conspiracy.

The Scott County Sheriff’s Office searched his home Sunday and seized a dozen fully grown marijuana plants, 59 harvested marijuana stalks containing marijuana buds hanging to dry, 214 grams of marijuana in several plastic bags and more than 100 marijuana seeds, according to an arrest affidavit.

Police also seized pipes, bongs, a grinder and a digital scale, the affidavit states.

The affidavit does not state at what time on Sunday police searched Cross’ home.

Meanwhile, he was booked into the Scott County Jail at 11:27 a.m. Sunday on a misdemeanor charge of leaving the scene of an accident and released an hour and a half later.
