Crime Stoppers of the Quad-Cities is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for any information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the death of a dog last month.

On July 19, Davenport police responded to Miller Avenue and South Concord Street and located a partially burned dog that appeared to be a Rottweiler breed.

Police believe the dog was dumped sometime overnight. Police and animal control officers found no identifying factors, such as licensing tags or an animal ID chip to determine the owner.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Davenport Police Department at 563-326-6125 or Crime Stoppers of the Quad Cities tip line at 309-762-9500.

Callers and all tips can remain anonymous.
