DIXON, Ill.   — U.S. Marshals are again auctioning items belonging to former Dixon comptroller Rita Crundwell, who admitted to stealing $53 million from the northern Illinois city.

Items from Crundwell’s Florida vacation home go up for bidding from 4 p.m. Wednesday through 5 p.m. Friday. More items from her home and ranch in Dixon will be auctioned from 4 p.m. Thursday through 1 p.m. Saturday. The Telegraph in Dixon reports that the items include home furnishings, artwork, appliances and electronics.

Crundwell was charged with stealing the millions from Dixon over two decades and using the money to fund a lavish lifestyle and horse ranch. So far the government has raised about $7.4 million from the sale of Crundwell’s horses, luxury motor home, vehicles and other equipment.

Crundwell will be sentenced in February.
