A snow emergency will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday in Davenport.

Mike Clarke, Davenport Public Works director, issued the snow emergency declaration Tuesday night, based on current weather predictions.

Parking on posted snow routes is prohibited during a snow emergency. Vehicles parked on posted snow routes may be subject to ticketing and towing.

Drivers are encouraged to park off street whenever possible on all other streets. If you must park on-street, please park on the even-numbered side of the street. Off-street and even-street side parking will assist the snow plows in moving through narrower streets.

The Harrison, Redstone and River Center parking ramps will be available for free parking during the snow emergency.
