Can you help with Workcamp? The city of Davenport is looking for individuals, organizations, companies and volunteer groups who can help with a Group Cares Home Repair Workcamp coming to Davenport the last week in June, doing everything from preparing baked goods for the volunteers to helping with the work.

As many as 70 Davenport residents will benefit from the work, primarily house painting, of a projected 400 adult and teenage volunteers who will be coming to Davenport for the work week.

To find out how you or your group can volunteer, informational meetings will be Tuesday, Feb. 12, at two different times and places. A 2 p.m. meeting will be in the conference room of River’s Edge, 700 W. River Drive, and a 5:30 p.m. meeting will be in the community room, Davenport Police Station, 416 N. Harrison St.
