A Davenport woman won a $10,000 Powerball prize in Saturday’s drawing.

Marquita Burrage was at home watching TV when she discovered she’d won.

“I screamed really loud,” she said Monday as she claimed her prize at the Iowa Lottery’s regional office in Cedar Rapids.

Burrage, 29, said she checked her smartphone to

get the winning numbers. Then she called her mother and sister to tell them the news, but they didn’t believe her.

The winning numbers in the $216 million Powerball jackpot drawing on Saturday were 3-7-21-44-53 and Powerball 16, but no one won the jackpot that night and it has grown to an estimated $260 million for today’s drawing.

Burrage bought her winning ticket at QC Mart, 2843 E. 53rd St., Davenport. She won a $10,000 prize by matching four of the first five numbers and the Powerball. She said she will pay off her car loan with her winnings.

Kerry, jealousy has taken over your life, you know the cost of everything, but the value of nothing. The lady will pay off her debt. It's never good to have debt.
