A monument listing the names of about 350 men from Rock Island County who died in the American Civil War stands on the grounds of the county courthouse, in dire need of repair.

The Quad-City Times is researching a story on efforts to restore the monument, and would like to talk to people whose relatives died in the war and whose names are inscribed on the weathered marble.
