Registration for a dodgeball tournament, sponsored by Allegiant and the Quad-City International Airport, continues through Friday.

The first-time event will be held July 19 at Augustana College's Pepsico Rec Center in Rock Island.

"It's getting closer to our registration deadline, and while we are very excited to be putting on this unique event to benefit three local charities, now we need teams to sign up," said Cathie Rochau, the airport's marketing representative. "You don't need to be competitive to play, it's all in the name of fun."

The tournament, being hosted as part of Allegiant's Dodge High Fares campaign, will benefit three local charities: Honor Flight of the Quad-Cities, New Kingdom Trailriders and the Quad-Cities Sports Commission. The event is receiving guidance from the National Dodgeball League.

To register, visit Registration is open through noon Friday.
