In recognition of national domestic violence awareness in October, Christian Care and Diamonds on the Avenue in Davenport have teamed up to help raise awareness. Diamonds on the Avenue designed a one-of-a-kind necklace — a purple pendant that changes color in the sun and houses a floating diamond. Purple is the color of domestic violence awareness while the floating diamond signifies the domestic violence survivor who is a diamond in the rough, yet still shining through the pain.

Pendants start at $49, and Diamonds on the Avenue will donate $10 from every purchase to Christian Care’s domestic violence shelter. Diamonds on the Avenue is located at 3320 E. Kimberly Road.

The Christian Care Crisis Hotline can be reached any hour of the day or night at 309-788-2273. For more information about Christian Care, go to christiancareqc.org or to Facebook at facebook.com/christiancareqc.
