The driver of a semitrailer suffered minor injuries Saturday after his rig rolled over while exiting eastbound Interstate 80 onto Interstate 88, East Moline Fire Department Capt. Bruce Colmer said.

Colmer said the accident occurred at 3:14 p.m. He said the semi-tractor was pulling an open-bed trailer with a load of lime for area farm fields.

As the driver was making his way around the exit, the load shifted, carrying the rig onto its side, Colmer said.

The driver of the semi-tractor was taken to Genesis Medical Center, Silvis, for treatment of his injuries.

Other trucks were called in to take the lime to its destination.
