Police have identified and charged a man who drove into a Davenport coin-operated laundry Sunday.

Lauro Alcaide-Ramirez, 37, of Davenport is charged with operating with no driver’s license and operating without insurance, Davenport Police Capt. Paul M. Sikorski said Monday.

The charges are related to the accident shortly before 8 p.m. at Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard, 3636 Hickory Grove Road.

Alcaide-Ramirez drove a Ford Expedition through the front of the coin-operated laundry portion of the convenience store.

A patron inside the laundry received minor injuries, Sikorski said. Alcaide-Ramirez wasn’t injured.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
