North Scott High School, which has had an auditorium for decades, is considering a plan to upgrade and renovate the structure.
Sited next to the high school at 200 S. 1st St. in Eldridge, the auditorium would have a lobby addition, safety improvements to catwalks and platforms, accessible entries, light locks, wing ramps and cross-aisle seating, new theater seating and theater equipment.
It would be designed by Shive Hattery Architects and Engineers, Moline, if the board approves construction measures on the agenda Monday night. Cost of Shive Hattery's services is estimated at $231,000.
The district will consider contracts with both Shive Hattery and Bush Construction, Davenport.
