The East Moline Police Department will be conducting several traffic enforcement details from Monday through Nov. 25.

Officers working the Safety Belt Enforcement Zone details will be checking drivers and front seat passengers to make sure they are wearing their seat belts. Officers will be issuing citations for speeding, impaired driving and for violations of the Child Passenger Protection Act as well. Several of these zones will be nighttime enforcement. The police also will be conducting saturation patrols. Additionally, officers will be conducting a roadside safety check.

These traffic campaigns are funded through a Sustained Traffic Enforcement Program grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation.
