Happy Friday, Quad-Cities. Once we emerge from the fog, a 50 might be waiting for us on the other side.
Today's forecast calls for patchy fog before 7 a.m. After that, it will be mostly cloudy with a high near 50.
But don't get too excited.
Tonight, there's a chance of rain before 1 a.m., then a chance of rain and snow with a low around 30. The chance of precipitation is only 40 percent, but new snow accumulation of a half inch is possible. So just when you think a day like today might take care of what snow is left on the ground, we might wake up to another fresh dusting tomorrow.
Saturday should be much simpler: Mostly cloudy with a high near 40 and a low around 22.
