AARP Iowa and AARP Illinois will host a forum for consumers on keeping utilities as affordable as possible and tips to monitor utility costs.

The event will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the i wireless Center, 1201 River Drive, Moline.

Participants include Janee Briesmeister, AARP senior legislative representative; Chad Horrell, AARP national field manager; Anthony Carroll, AARP Iowa associate state director for advocacy; and Scott Musser, AARP Illinois associate state director for advocacy.

The forum will help residents learn about their home energy consumer rights, how to voice their concerns and take advantage of consumer protections to save money on their home energy bills.
