The Frozen Landing ice rink officially opened for the season Nov. 22 after a tree lighting ceremony at Middle Road and 23rd Street in Bettendorf.

The rink is free, and open to all ages and ability levels. Skates for children and adults are available for rent for $2. Hockey skates may be used, but hockey sticks and pucks are not allowed. Concessions also are available for purchase.

Frozen Landing hours are:

  • Noon to 9 p.m. Monday-Thursday
  • Noon to 10 p.m. Friday
  • 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday
  • Noon to 6 p.m. Sunday

Hours are weather-dependent. The rink will be closed for rain, snow accumulation of 2 inches or more until the rink is cleared, temperatures above 50 degrees or below 5 degrees and wind chill of -15 degrees.
