The Iowa Masonic Home and A.B.A.T.E. of Iowa District 15 are teaming up to raise funds for the Music and Memory Program for people living with Alzheimer's disease and related dementia. They will host a Motorcycle Fun Run on Saturday, May 20. For additional information, call 309-645-0108 or email penny.hoker@gmail.com.

The ride will start at the Iowa Masonic Home with a continental breakfast and a chance to meet the residents. Sign-in is from 10-11 a.m. There will be several stops, including a stop at Ridgecrest Village Senior Living in Davenport at 2 p.m. to meet another group of residents. The ride will end at Hero's Pub, 3811 N. Harrison St., Davenport. All vehicles and donations are welcome.

All residents will be given an iPod Shuffle with personalized music. Funds raised will be used to purchase iTunes cards to create a library of music for the residents.

Music has been shown to decrease anxiety and decrease agitation for some residents. Area high school groups and students from Palmer College will help load all of the personalized iPods for the residents.
