The Association of Fundraising Professionals Illinois Quad-Cities is offering a mentoring program for novice fundraising professionals in the area. The six 90-minute sessions will be held monthly on Friday mornings at the new Western Illinois University Quad-Cities campus in Moline.

Local members of the Association of Fundraising Professionals will share their experiences and best practices with attendees. Classes include grant-writing, major gifts, working with volunteers, annual giving plans and integrated development. Future program dates are Feb. 22, March 22, April 19, May 17 and June 15.

The program is free, presented as a service to the community and the fundraising practitioners. To qualify, you must be employed 20 hours per week or more in fundraising and have been involved in the work for two years or less. To register, contact Gary Rowe at or call 309-762-3999.
