A 20-year-old woman from Galva, Ill., was killed this morning in a single-vehicle crash on Illinois 17 near Woodhull.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is withholding her name, pending family notification, according to a news release issued this afternoon.

The woman was ejected from the 2001 Pontiac Grand Am she was driving westbound at about 6 a.m. on the highway. The vehicle left the roadway on the north side and rolled into a cornfield, the release said.

She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Henry County Coroner’s office.
