After several months of updates to the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission on a potential sale of the Rhythm City casino in Davenport, no update is on the commission’s meeting agenda next week.

As the Isle of Capri sought a sale agreement with a Chicago-based developer, the commission heard numerous reports. The last report received by the commission, in November, was that the Isle was proceeding with a sale to the city of Davenport.

That will have to do for now for commissioners.

“For the past many months, we kept the item as an agenda item so we could get an update from Isle regarding any possible sale,” commission Chairman Jeff Lamberti said in a statement. “However, in light of the pending agreement with the City, it did not seem to make sense to have it on the agenda at this time.”

The commission doesn’t meet in February but meets twice the following month, on March 7 in Johnston and March 26 in Sioux City.
