The afternoon will be sunny with a high near 88 degrees. That's a little lower than forecasted earlier, but still very enjoyable. A southwest wind  will produce gusts as high as 20 mph.

Tonight there's a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 a.m. Skies will be partly cloudy with a low around 62 degrees.

Wednesday brings a slight chance of showers after 1 p.m. with a high near 80 degrees.

EARLIER REPORT: A good Tuesday, Quad-Cities. At 9 a.m. it's 63 degrees under fair skies. A day after scraping frost off the windshield, Quad-Citians might want to turn on the air conditioners today. It's going to be a hot one.

The National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies with a high near 90 degrees. Winds will be from the southwest.

Tonight there's a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms between 1a.m. and 4 a.m., then a slight chance of showers after 4 a.m. The overnight low will be 62 degrees.

Wednesday will bring a slight chance of showers and a high near 80 degrees and a low around 57 degrees.
