Rotary Clubs of Davenport and North Scott will host the seventh annual Youth Harvest Party on Oct. 10 for about 450 underprivileged youths ages 5-12 from the Quad-Cities.  The youngsters will visit the Pride of the Wapsi pumpkin patch. Scott County Family Y, Family Resources Inc., The Friendly House, Fillmore Elementary, Neil Armstrong Elementary and Sunshine Ministries work together to bring the children to the party.

Transportation will be provided to the pumpkin patch and each child will receive winter hat and gloves as well as goodie bags. At the pumpkin patch, kids will participate in hayrack rides, pick pumpkins to take home, eat “walking tacos” for dinner, roast marshmallows over a campfire, pet and feed small farm.  The Scott County Sheriff’s Office, Bettendorf Police Department, Long Grove Fire Department and Medic EMS will provide emergency vehicles for display and trick-or-treating safety tips.
