CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — A court hearing for the mother of one of the missing cousins that had been scheduled for Wednesday morning has been canceled.

Misty Morrissey, mother of Lyric Cook-Morrissey, had been scheduled to appear in U.S. District Court in Cedar Rapids on allegations she violated the terms of her supervised release in connection with a 2003 methamphetamine charge.

Morrissey, 35, was in the courthouse, but the hearing was canceled. Officials with the U.S. Attorney’s Office declined to comment on the cancellation.

She had served four years in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to manufacture and distribute meth in 2003. After prison, her supervised release was revoked in August 2011, and she was ordered to undergo a treatment program and spend time at the Waterloo Residential Facility. A year of supervised release also was imposed at that time.
