Historic Clock Tower and eagle watching tours will be offered at Lock and Dam 15 in the Quad-Cities by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mississippi River Project.

Learn about the Clock Tower building as you climb the stairs to the top for a spectacular view of the Mississippi River and bald eagles that visit during the cold winter months.

Tours will be offered at 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays from Jan. 19 through Feb. 10. Each tour will last about 1½ hours and be guided by a Corps park ranger. The free tours will begin at the Mississippi River Visitor Center on the western end of Arsenal Island at Lock and Dam 15. Advance registration is recommended.

An adult must accompany children under 12 years of age. All persons over age 16 must carry a photo ID to enter the island. Vehicles are subject to search and participants should allow 15 minutes extra to ensure proper arrival time. Visitors may enter the island through the Moline or Rock Island gates. For more information or to sign up for the program, call 309-794-5338.
