Here are closings of government offices and services related to the observance of Veterans Day:

Post offices — Closed Monday and no home delivery.


Bettendorf — City offices closed Monday. No solid waste collection services Monday, with collections moved one day later, including Saturday. Transit buses on normal schedule. Bettendorf Public Library open 1-5 p.m.

Sunday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday. Family Museum open noon-5 p.m. Sunday and

9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, with free admission 5-8 p.m. and classes held as scheduled. Community Center offices closed. Life Fitness Center open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday and 5 a.m. to

9:30 p.m. Monday. Palmer Hills Golf Course open, weather permitting, with Palmer Grill open from sunrise to sunset.

Davenport — City offices, Public Works Center, police department front desk and lobby area, libraries, Parks and Recreation Department administrative offices, Adler Theatre box office, Vander Veer Botanical Park Conservatory, compost facility will be closed Monday. River’s Edge will be open

Sunday and Monday. Timed parking will not be enforced Monday and no charge to park at city parking ramps at 101 Main St., 102 E. 2nd St. and 202 Harrison St. CitiBus service will be provided Monday. Garbage, recycling, bulky waste and yard waste will be picked up one day later all week, with Friday pickup on Saturday.  

Scott County — County offices and Waste Commission of Scott County facilities will be closed on Monday, including Scott Area Recycling Center, 5640 Carey Ave., Davenport; Scott Area Landfill, 11555 110th Ave., Davenport; Electronic Demanufacturing Facility, 1048 E. 59th St., Davenport.

Iowa Department of Transportation — Drivers license facilities closed Saturday.
