The effects of Hurricane Irma have delayed a decision on Rock Island County Administrator Dave Ross' job offer as city manager in Stuart, a town in east Florida.
The Stuart city council was expected to have met Sept. 12, but the meeting was cancelled because of the hurricane, so the earliest action could take place now is Sept. 25, Ross wrote in an email.
Stuart is a community of about 17,285 people.
Ross is Rock Island County's first professional administrator, hired just more than two years ago.
County board members contacted this week by the Times said they would not move forward on discussions about what to do next until Ross' decision is official.
