MAQUOKETA, Iowa — Long-time Jackson County Supervisor Jack Willey was elected the 2013 chairman of the group this week.

Steve Flynn was elected vice chairman. Supervisor Larry ’Buck” Koos had been chairman for several years.

Willey said he had been chairman several times before in his 23 years on the board. He thanked Koos for the amount of time he has spent as chairman.

Also during the first meeting of the year, Treasurer Nancy Roling did the swearing in of re-elected county officials: Koos, Auditor M. Joelle Deppe and Sheriff Russ Kettmann.
